Bishop John R Gaydos of the Diocese of Jefferson City lights the Paschal candle from the sacred Easter fire during the Holy Saturday Easter Vigil which celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus and concludes the forty days of Lent for Roman Catholics. The wind whipped the Easter fire in such a way that it appears to display significant imagery for this particular religious celebration.
